A fallacy is considered as a kind of error in reasoning. Fallacies are not supposed to be persuasive, but they are normally persuasive. Fallacies can be used in indicating any false belief or a cause of a false belief. Arguments that use poor reasoning are usually referred to as fallacies (Hurley, 2008).
